It’s Time to Kick Off Another Great Year with SMPS Oregon
On behalf of the Board of Directors, welcome to the SMPS Oregon 2018/19 program year!
As an SMPS member and volunteer for the past five years, I’ve gained both personal and professional confidence, widened my network of peers, and made some amazing friends along the way. I am honored to serve as your chapter President and guide this organization, which has contributed so much to my growth as a marketer, into the future.
Our Board of Directors meets monthly to discuss and act on Chapter business, strategy, goals, and policy matters. As elected representatives of the local membership, we set the direction for the Chapter and have a fiduciary responsibility to maintain the Chapter’s fiscal health. Just this past week, the new board met for the first time to discuss the programming and chapter initiatives that we have planned for our membership in the upcoming year.
I can’t wait to share some of the goals we’ve set for ourselves and the many committee volunteers who put in countless hours to deliver quality service and events to the membership! If you haven’t signed up yet, please join me and our new directors at the SMPS Grow event on September 12, 2018 at BridgePort Brew Pub. GROW is our kick-off event for the year and an excellent opportunity to network with your fellow marketers and business developers. You’ll meet the Board of Directors, talk with other SMPS Oregon Chapter members and learn all about the benefits of being a SMPS member.
If you would like to get involved in a committee or pursue a role on the Board, please reach out to any of our Directors for more information!
